This estate Pinot Noir comes from a small block of Pommard and a smaller block of 115, both totaling under 2.5 acres. Situated between 520ft and 540ft in elevation just off of Old Parrett Mountain road, the soil is mainly Laurelwood silt loam and the vineyard was planted in 2000.  Both blocks were harvested on the 15th of September at ideal ripeness.  The blend is 50% Pommard and 50% 115.  The wine developed in 50% new and 50% second fill French oak barrels.

Bottled in June of 2016 - 14.1% Abv.

A delicate ruby-hue in the glass is a sign of elegance for this pretty estate Pinot Noir from Anna's Vineyard, located in the Chehalem Mountains AVA. The complex palate shows layers of cherry cola, candied fruit, strawberry and spice. Firm tannins and moderate acidity are nicely balanced with earthy mid-palate notes of anise and thyme, finishing with great texture and finesse.
